Product Condition Policy
This policy explains how Time Supply NYC represents the condition of the watches and jewelry we sell, what our condition descriptions and photography mean, and what to do if a piece arrives differently than described.
1. Condition Grading
Pre-owned watches are assigned a condition grade based on our internal inspection at the time of listing, ranging from Mint to Fair. Grades reflect cosmetic and mechanical condition only and are assigned according to our published Product Condition Guide. Condition grading is a professional assessment made in good faith and represents our best judgment at the time of inspection, rather than a precise or scientific measurement.
2. What Condition Descriptions Cover
- Cosmetic condition — visible wear to the case, bracelet, dial, and crystal.
- Mechanical condition — general functionality and timekeeping performance at the time of inspection.
- Included accessories — box, papers, warranty card, and any extra links or straps.
- Service history — where known and disclosed to us by a prior owner or verified through documentation.
Condition descriptions do not constitute a guarantee of future mechanical performance beyond any applicable warranty terms, which are addressed separately in our warranty documentation.
3. Photography as Representation
All pre-owned listings are photographed individually — we do not use stock or manufacturer photography for pre-owned inventory. Photos are taken to accurately represent the actual condition of the piece, including any visible wear. Minor variations in on-screen color or lighting are possible due to photography and device display differences, and do not represent a change in the item's actual condition.
4. Disclosure Standard
If a condition issue is identified after a listing goes live — for example, during a final pre-shipment inspection — we will update the listing or contact you directly before completing the sale.
5. If an Item Arrives Differently Than Described
If your item arrives in materially different condition than described or photographed, please contact us within 3 business days of delivery with photos of the discrepancy. We will review the issue and, where a genuine discrepancy is confirmed, offer a resolution consistent with our Return Policy, which may include a return, exchange, or partial adjustment depending on the nature of the issue.
6. Normal Variation Is Not a Discrepancy
Reasonable variation within a stated condition grade — for example, minor differences in how individuals perceive light surface wear — does not constitute a condition discrepancy. Our team is happy to discuss any concerns, but claims must reflect a genuine difference from what was disclosed, not a difference in subjective interpretation of an accurately disclosed condition.
7. As-Is Sales
In limited cases, a piece may be sold explicitly "as-is," meaning it is sold without our standard condition guarantee due to its specific circumstances (for example, a piece requiring service that a buyer wishes to purchase prior to that service being completed). Any as-is sale will be clearly identified as such prior to purchase, and standard condition-related remedies described in this policy do not apply to items sold under these terms.
