Pre-Order Policy
Some of the watches we offer are secured through pre-order or special sourcing rather than held in current inventory. This policy explains how pre-orders work at Time Supply NYC, from deposit to delivery.
What Counts as a Pre-Order
A pre-order at Time Supply NYC generally refers to a specific watch reference that is not currently in our physical inventory but that we agree to source, acquire, or hold for you based on your request. This can include highly sought-after references with limited availability, specific dial or bracelet combinations, or pieces we identify through our network on your behalf.
How Pre-Orders Work
Request submitted. You let us know the specific reference you're looking for.
Terms confirmed. We confirm estimated pricing, timeline, and deposit terms with you in writing.
Deposit collected. A deposit secures our commitment to source the piece on your behalf.
Piece delivered. Once acquired and authenticated, we notify you and arrange final payment and delivery.
Deposits
Pre-orders typically require a deposit to confirm your commitment and allow us to begin sourcing the piece. Deposit amounts vary depending on the specific reference and its market availability, and will always be communicated clearly before being collected. Because sourcing a pre-order often involves us making a binding commitment on your behalf, pre-order deposits are generally non-refundable once sourcing has begun, except where the piece cannot ultimately be delivered as agreed.
Estimated Timelines
Pre-order timelines vary significantly depending on the specific reference requested and current market availability — some pieces may be sourced within weeks, while highly limited references can take considerably longer. We will provide our best estimate at the time your pre-order is placed, and will keep you updated on any changes to that timeline as sourcing progresses.
Pricing
Pricing for pre-ordered pieces is confirmed at the time the order is placed whenever possible. Because availability and market pricing for certain highly sought-after references can shift during the sourcing process, final pricing will always be confirmed with you before your order is finalized and before any balance beyond the deposit is collected.
If a Piece Cannot Be Delivered
In the rare case that we are unable to source or deliver a pre-ordered piece as agreed, we will notify you as soon as possible and refund any deposit collected in full. You will never be charged the remaining balance for a piece that is not ultimately delivered.
Cancelling a Pre-Order
Because pre-orders often involve us committing to acquire a specific piece on your behalf, cancellation terms differ from standard in-stock orders. If you need to cancel a pre-order, please contact us as soon as possible — cancellation terms and any deposit refund will depend on how far sourcing has progressed at the time of your request.
